LEIA DARWISH is a poet, editor, copywriter, and educator. Originally from the DC area, Leia earned a BA in creative writing from University of Colorado Denver in 2011 and completed an MFA in creative writing at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia in 2015. She has served as managing editor for Copper Nickel and lead associate editor at Blackbird: an online journal of literature and art. Leia's poetry and nonfiction can be found in diode, The Journal, PANK, RHINO, The Paris-American, and elsewhere.
